"Future Kings" was written during the height of the police brutality protests in the summer of 2020. The "it's disgusting" clip comes from a speech given by the head of the New York police union in which he yells to the cameras that police are misunderstood and do not kill black children, calling the notion, "disgusting". Dozens of unarmed black children were subsequently killed by American police in the following months.
